4 clocks postioned on the 4 walls of the auditorium, each ticking differently but combining to create a rhythm. The passing and setting of time was the focus of the design for this play about an agrophobe driving himself to suicide over the course of 24 hours.

a scene change to later that day, the time on the speaking clock was critical to the plot and was synchronised with an onstage clock. This was before 24 existed!

At the end of the final scene, the young man commits suicide - the Greenwich Mean Time beep becomes a heart monitor flatlining
